Shindig festival was such a blast! Thanks for having us!!! Loved bringing Bounce, the 100% recycled bouncy play space, to this gorgeous arboretum setting with brilliant collaborator Lizzy After our initial rig, hundreds of children’s hands continued to weave this web all weekend, and then traversed its intricate pathways, jumping, chilling, playing, connecting and creating. An amazing space to make it, and the community made it extra wonderful, thanks to our neighbours and new besties Vix and to Ben and Jane at and to all the children and families who helped weave the magic! More to come this summer, and see you next year Shindig! ❤️🤸🌱♻️🥰🎉

‘Blood bubble’. About care and proximity. My tiny ode to the plight of a people under occupation and oppression. I physically manifested the wonderful forest school technique for teaching children knife safety. When kids use blades for whittling and carving, you tell them about the zone around them where if someone enters, they may draw blood 🩸 - their ‘blood bubble’. If someone gets too close, you stop carving and ask the person to move to a safe distance. It worked for the collaborative art factory space in my show, due to the carving activity, but it also speaks to the idea of who we take care of. Who is in our metaphorical blood bubble. Who do we neglect and not think of, perhaps far from us, and outside of our perceived sphere of harm.
In the show, people used pencils stubs (🙏 ) to make earrings to raise money for the incredible So many! So creative! They took away some of the fruits of their labours and added many more to the shop. Other gallery visitors bought the earrings, donating directly. Hundreds of £ raised, and so much craft, care and communion. Such a pleasure to run this and talk with people and show other work too. A privilege too to exhibit with part new artist family below and thanks so much to all the team at and :

Love adventure playgrounds. Never had one near me growing up, but I seem to be making up for it now :) Had a wonderful day teaching the different methods to build a BOUNCE playground from bike tyres at the amazing Lollard Adventure Playground . The team of playworkers quickly got up to speed with the different processes to go from a bundle of used tyres to a bouncy climbing web and swings. They were getting to design, climb and play on it which was so fun to see, with all the valuable qualities of the material that would otherwise be landfull - like UV stability, flexibility, stretch, strength, being waterproof PLUS it’s endlessly and easily adaptable, so the team can help the kids add to and redesign the bouncy spaces when they want a new set up at no cost to their funding or the environment! Win win win! Part of the training provided by our friends and ace collaborators Made from Scratch who it’s always such a joy to work with. It was a privilege to meet the passionate playworking team in a space so packed with rich experiences for the local kids in Lambeth. Long live adventure playgrounds! Please support your local one, and shout for any extra bounce for your space # # #
