For the final day of our Bike Week series, we're thrilled to be talking about The Bike Project
The Bike Project take second hand bikes, fix them up and donate them to refugees and people seeking asylum in London and Birmingham. They also run cycle courses for women called ‘Pedal Power’ and have a bike befriending scheme called ‘Bike Buddies’.
Having fled persecution and atrocity in their country of origin, most refugees arrive in the UK with absolutely nothing. A bike helps them access food banks, legal advice, healthcare, education and much more. If they’re lucky enough to receive official refugee status, a bike can help refugees find employment.
You can support The Bike Project by buying a bike from their shop, donating your old bike or taking part in a fundraising challenge such as Refugee Routes during Refugee Week 15-21 June.

For Day 3 of Bike Week, we're talking about Walk Wheel Cycle Trust (formerly know as Sustrans).
Walk Wheel Cycle Trust works with governments, communities, and partners to make it easier for people to complete active journeys. Since 1977, they've been providing support and consultancy on a wide range of schemes which make active journeys safer, easier and more appealing to everyone.
Whether you've heard of them before or not, you've almost definitely benefited from their work. Their flagship project is the National Cycle Network which consists of over 12,000 miles of signed cycle way throughout the UK!
Walk Wheel Cycle Trust also conduct research that they use to affect positive change across the UK. Their recent Walking and Cycling Index report - the biggest assessment of walking, wheeling and cycling in the UK and Ireland - revealed that 54% of residents felt that access to secure cycle parking at, or near, home would help support them to cycle more. That's a statistic we can get behind!

For day 2 of Bike Week, we're shouting out Bikmo - our industry partner helping to keep the Cyclehoop community moving safely.
Not all insurance covers bikes when away from home; often there's a short time or distance limit, even when securely locked in a secure Bikehangar.
That's why we've partnered with Bikmo to offer Cyclehoop customers a 10% discount on their hassle-free insurance.
Built by passionate cyclists, they create simple, hassle-free insurance for you and your ride, allowing you to spend less time worrying and more time on two wheels.
Bikmo is certified B Corp and a member of 1% for the Planet, meaning they are deeply committed to using business as a force for good - protecting both cyclists and our environment. Plus, Cycling UK members benefit from 3rd party liability cover automatically from Bikmo as part of their membership - including members organising cycling events such as Bike Week.
Thank you, Bikmo for keeping our community safe and riding!

Happy Bike Week!
To celebrate all things cycling, we're shining a spotlight on some of our fantastic industry partners and the incredible work they do. What better way to kick things off than with Bikeability
The Bikeability Trust is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation with the vision to ensure everyone has the confidence to cycle and enjoy this skill for life. The Trust manages, develops and promotes the Bikeability programme on behalf of the Department for Transport.
This year, the Bikeability programme celebrates its 18th anniversary. Since launching in 2007, it has trained nearly 6 million children, giving them the skills and confidence to cycle safely and enjoy the lifelong benefits of cycling.
Bikeability doesn't stop at the school gates either. The Trust also supports cycling confidence through training opportunities for teenagers and adults, helping even more people discover the independence, freedom and joy that cycling can bring.
Here's to another 18 years of inspiring the next generation of cyclists! 🚴

Happy World Bike Day!
To celebrate, we want to talk about active travel.
In our 2025 Customer Survey, over 70% of our customers agreed that having a Bikehangar space encouraged them to cycle more. However, after “The weather”, “Traffic and road safety” was the second most common reason for not wanting to cycle. Whilst we can’t do anything about the weather (we’ve tried), it’s clear that safe, secure infrastructure opens the door to active travel
Investing in active travel benefits everyone. Swapping car journeys for cycling reduces Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2), particulate matter, and CO2 and creates cleaner air environments. It also contributes to the recommended 150 minutes of physical activity for adults each week, which is hugely important for maintaining health. Studies have also shown environments prioritising pedestrians, cycling and public transport yield an average retail sales boost of 30%. But none of this is possible without the proper infrastructure.
Get in contact to find out how we can help you invest in safe, secure cycling infrastructure.

Did you know that 71% of our customers said that having a Bikehangar space encourages them to cycle more?
Safe, secure cycle parking encouraging more cycling feels like a bit of a no-brainer, but it's good to have the stats to back it up.

We hosted a Sprint Challenge at The Security Event in Birmingham last month with a £50 voucher of their choice given to the quickest man and woman.
Sadly we're not recruiting for the Cyclehoop WorldTour team, we just want to spread the word of secure cycle parking and the positive effects it can have on people, communities, and the world.
Our 2025 customer survey showed that having a space in our Bikehangars encouraged 71% of respondents to cycle more. More people cycling means less traffic on roads, less pollution in the air, and happier lungs all round. It really is as simple as that.
Cyclehoop has been a transport partner to the private and public sector for over a decade, and in that time, we've designed and manufactured a diverse and prominent product portfolio full of best-in-market cycle parking solutions. To find out how we can help you, drop us a DM.
