A New Chapter: Fabiia’s London Showroom Opening- 30th October!

Jiten and I are beyond proud to announce the opening of Fabiia's first ever London showroom! Based out of Chiswick at the West-end of the London city lies our passion-project, which has been in the works for well over a year now.

When we first decided to make the move from Dubai back to the UK, we were keen to pick out a prime location for what would become the Fabiia Showroom. Three months scouring the streets of London led us to The Light Box, a studio set two minutes from Chiswick Park and a stone's throw away from the Chiswick train station.

To put things in perspective, most of the last year was spent pouring over Fabiia's signature line of furniture. The team divided its time traveling around Europe identifying the choicest manufacturing units alongside juggling multiple projects in the Middle East. We sure have kept ourselves busy, but the results are most definitely worth it!

The showroom is set to house a number of curated brands that echo the Fabiia ideals – Quality, Elegance, Comfort and Utilitarianism. Brands like Miniforms, Lightyears, Fast, Labbate and Sika, a display of fine Italian and Danish craftsmanship and design. A heady mix of indoor and outdoor furniture, designer lighting, plus a signature Fabiia flair alongside our architectural Norse LED lighting brings you a showroom that lives and breathes design.

What was once a pipe-dream has now finally taken shape in a one-stop location for all your contract furniture/lighting requirements. On the 30th of October and forever more, we hope the designer, the architect as well as the home owner will look to the Fabiia Showroom to help realise their dream design outcomes.

Art of Living – The boutique way

Remember the times when travelling to another place would entail days of frenetic preparation and detailed planning? Well, that scenario is passé. Today’s traveller is smart, driven, aspirational and in command. He is an embodiment of consummate refinement and taste. In times when straddling continents in a matter of hours is commonplace, the traveller seeks a personalised experience, be it the cuisine or place of stay, tailor-made to his needs. This is where the concept of boutique hotel comes in. In a refreshing departure from the pomposity of luxury hotels, the boutique concept stands out. The one USP of this line of hotels is its intimacy, an embracing feeling of being in a ‘home away from home’.

For a hotel to be preferred by a client and thereafter build a long association, it needs that beacon of individuality, a place one can identify with. A significant factor is the design and decor. Long since architectural design shed its cloak of stuffy ornate styles and embraced the freshness of minimalism, the hospitality industry was also quick to catch on the sentiment.

To celebrate the independent spirit of boutique hotels, an avant-garde theme in terms of design also needs to be embraced. Think mid century modern, the revolutionary design movement which did away with stuffiness and frills in favour of a clean minimalist look with fluid lines. To highlight it further, lounge chairs, sofas and even arm chairs should look and, by inference, feel welcoming enough to sink into, to melt away stress and tiredness. Other essential must- haves are the bar stools and chairs. In a space, where unwinding is the keyword, it wouldn’t do to offer something less comfortable would it? Also, keep in mind that the functionality of the design drives its user friendliness. Now that the drinks have been served, can dinner wait?! While describing dining chairs as ones that look good enough to eat would border on histrionics, it does need to have a fine balance of aesthetics and comfort, style and appeal. Modern furniture has made a tectonic shift in the way materials are used. While wood remains a perennial favourite, metals and alloys such as brass and aluminium are effectively used to suit the modern sensibility. Yet another distinguishing feature of a hotel decor is the sofa. It adds a persona to any space, be it a room, a suite or a lounge area. It is important to bear in mind the types of upholstery material used.

Have a peep into Fabiia’s collection of chairs, sofas, lounge chairs, bar stools etc. Our hallmark you ask? Specially curated furniture just to suit your needs! On offer is a host of contract furniture where we fashion a piece using the material according to your specifications! Go ahead, give your boutique hotel that unique touch, a place that allures with a fun take on the Eagles classic, ‘..you can check anytime of the year, but you ‘d never wish to leave!’
