The Fourth Place resonated strongly with me. By definition, it’s where humans do the work that cannot be done alone, remotely, or by AI. Consequently, work that requires another human, in a room, in real time — is more valuable now than at any point in human history.

For this, privacy is important, as are acoustics. However, the quality of the air in the room is the most critical ingredient for successful outcomes.

Our decision making and judgements can be negatively impacted.

‘The ventilation system inside an office pod is not a background feature - it is the primary determinant of the cognitive environment for every person who uses it’

Thanks
