A big week in Suffolk. An even bigger investment in its future.
This is what regional impact looks like at Flannery.
On Wednesday, Tessa, our Employability Lead, represented Flannery at the Women in Construction Anglia Ambassadors event at East Coast College in Lowestoft. There, she met six inspiring young women already studying construction-related courses, sharing experiences and discussing the opportunities available to them within the industry.
But the conversation didn't stop there.
Later in the week, Odee, our Head of Social Value and EDI, joined students, educators and industry partners at the Suffolk Future Skills Fair 2026 at Suffolk New College. Throughout the day, he showcased the wide range of career pathways available through construction, including opportunities offered through our apprenticeship programmes and Operator Skills Hub.
These events are about more than raising awareness. They are about helping local people understand the opportunities available to them and providing clear routes into rewarding careers.
And we're proud to see those opportunities turning into real outcomes.
A huge congratulations to Amy Casewell, one of our pick-up drivers based in Ipswich, who has successfully gained her C+E HGV licence through the Flannery apprenticeship programme at our Needham Market depot.
From inspiring the next generation and opening doors to developing skills and supporting progression, Amy's achievement brings a fantastic week in Suffolk full circle.
This is what social value looks like in practice.
Creating opportunities and outcomes for the communities we work in.
Opening doors. Developing skills. Supporting progression. Building futures.
