Meet the Team (Catchy Version)
⚡ Ever wondered who's actually behind the van you keep spotting around South West London?

Here's the spoiler: it's not some faceless company hiding behind a logo.

It's a real team of people who turn up, do the work, and take pride in every job. 👇

🧑‍💼 Yunal — the one running the show and putting his name behind every job we take on.

📞 Dani — making sure your messages don't disappear into the void and that help is always just a call away.

🔌 Teodor, Cenap, Emirhan & Dzhenap — the skilled hands on the tools, solving problems, installing, testing, and keeping homes safe.

We're a small team — and that's exactly how we like it.

No call centres. No endless waiting. No "someone will get back to you."

Just real people, quality workmanship, and electricians who actually do the job. ⚡

So next time you see our van parked outside a neighbour's home, you'll know exactly who's behind it. 👋

⚡ ONE HOME. TWO FUSE BOARDS. ONE IMPORTANT SAFETY UPGRADE. ⚡

This property had two separate fuse boards, and the older one had no RCD protection.

We replaced both with one new consumer unit, bringing the installation together into a modern, more practical setup with improved electrical safety. ✅🔌

And here’s why electrical safety matters more than ever… 👇

🚨 Electrical Safety First has reported that electric blanket fires in England reached a five-year high in 2024/25.

As the colder months approach and more of us start using electric blankets, heaters and other electrical appliances, it’s a timely reminder not to overlook the safety of your home's electrical installation.

⚡ An outdated fuse board could mean outdated protection.
⚡ RCD protection can help protect against electric shock and reduce the risk of electrical fires caused by certain electrical faults.
⚡ Regular electrical checks can help identify potential problems before they become serious.

🏡 When was the last time your fuse board was checked?

Don't wait for an electrical problem to make you think about safety. A professional inspection can help identify issues and give you greater peace of mind.

📩 Get in touch if your fuse board is old, you’re unsure what protection you have, or you'd like advice on upgrading your electrical installation.

Your home's electrical safety is too important to leave to chance.⚡

⚡ Power tripped? Don’t panic — here’s what to do! 📌

Before you start searching Google in the dark, save this quick guide! 👇

🏠 4 simple steps to help identify the problem:

1️⃣ Switch off and unplug appliances on the affected circuit, if safe to do so.

2️⃣ Reset the tripped switch on your consumer unit (fuse board) by switching it fully OFF, then back ON.

3️⃣ Reconnect appliances one at a time, checking whether the power trips again.

4️⃣ Found the culprit? If the power trips when you reconnect a particular appliance, stop using it and get it checked. 🎯

🚨 Important: If the switch won’t reset, trips repeatedly, or the problem continues with everything unplugged, don’t keep trying to reset it. There could be an underlying electrical fault that needs professional attention.

⚡ Not sure what to do next? That’s what we’re here for!

💬 Comment “HELP” and we’ll point you in the right direction.

📌 Save this post so you know what to do if your power trips!

A sculptural pendant deserves more than a hook and a hope.

This morning our team hung a Porta Romana Helix pendant in a Knightsbridge living room. A piece like this is all about proportion, so we took our time:

• Two of us on the lift, so it went up safely and without a mark
• Fixings checked, pilot holes set, and the bracket secured into solid structure (not just plaster)
• Drop height set with the client so it sits right over the room
• Wired to the dimmer, tested, and left tidy

Designer lighting is only as good as the install behind it.

🔌 The sound every landlord dreads on a Friday night…

Click. Click. Click.

Nothing.

You know the one. The trip switch that decides to go at 6pm on a Friday, right as your tenant’s about to cook dinner.

Most weekend “emergency” call-outs aren’t true emergencies. They’re warning signs that were easy to fix earlier in the week:
• A socket that’s been “a bit warm”
• A breaker that trips “sometimes”
• Lights that flicker when the kettle goes on

None of those are normal. And they’re almost always cheaper and simpler to sort on a Tuesday than a Saturday.

If something’s been nagging at you, get it checked before it becomes a weekend problem.

⚡ HMO landlords: is your fuse board actually compliant?

If you own or manage a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO), your consumer unit (fuse board) often needs a higher standard than a typical family home. Getting it wrong is not just a compliance issue, it can increase fire risk.

Here’s what’s commonly different with HMO consumer units (always confirm against your property’s specific requirements and local licensing conditions):

🔥 Metal enclosure
Under current wiring regulations, consumer units are typically required to be non-combustible (metal), rather than older plastic units.

⚠️ Protection on every circuit
HMOs often benefit from individual protection per circuit (e.g., RCBOs), so a fault in one area does not take out power and protection for the whole property.

📋 EICR requirements
Landlords are required to have an Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) at set intervals (often every 5 years, and sometimes at change of tenancy depending on the situation).

🚪 Location matters
Access and siting can be important for safety and management, and may be influenced by fire protection and licensing requirements.

📄 Documentation trail
Councils can request EICRs and electrical certificates as part of HMO licensing. Missing paperwork can delay or jeopardise an application.

If you’re unsure where your property stands, we can carry out HMO electrical inspections, EICRs, and consumer unit upgrades across Central, South West and South East London.

⚡ Autumn Safety Check: Is your home ready for the dark nights? ⚡

As the clocks prepare to go back and we reach for the heaters, portable lights and Christmas decorations again, it’s a good time for a quick electrical safety check.

A few things worth doing this week:
🔌 Check extension leads and adaptors aren’t overloaded (one socket, one plug is always safest)
🔥 Have portable heaters inspected before first use
💡 Test your smoke alarms (a fresh battery now beats a scare later)
🌧️ Check outdoor sockets and lighting are properly weatherproofed before the rain sets in
🔧 If your consumer unit is older than 10 years, it may be worth a professional check

Faulty wiring and overloaded circuits are one of the leading causes of house fires in the colder months. A short check now can save a lot of trouble later.

Compact, MCB-sized body
No wiring or external power required
DIN-rail or adhesive mounting

Fast acting. Safe and effective. Easy to install.

Protect the board, protect the property.
