Last week, we welcomed guests to our Mayfair showroom for an intimate evening of conversation with Yvette Vuaran, in collaboration with Mayfair Design District’s Anne-Laure Pingreoun.

Together, we explored the people, places and rituals that help us reconnect and recharge. From the restorative influence of nature and the home, to creativity, daily practice and the importance of making space for reflection.

At Savoir, rest has always meant more than sleep. It is about creating the conditions in which we can slow down, restore and feel well. An evening that offered the opportunity to consider just that, through conversation and shared perspectives.

Thank you to everyone who joined us.

Inspired by the glamour and romance of the golden age of travel, Tranquility brings together the elegance of heritage design with the comfort of handcrafted sleep.

Created in collaboration with Winch Design the bed features softly curved leather panels framed with saddle-stitch detailing, wrapping gently around the bed to create a sense of softness and enclosure.

Beneath the surface, a custom Savoir Nº4 mattress, sprung base and plush hair and wool topper work together to create exceptional comfort, all handcrafted at Savoir’s Bedworks in Wales. Finished with buttery-soft leather upholstery and our signature Trellis ticking, every detail reflects the artistry of traditional handcraft.

The hands behind every Savoir

At Savoir, handcraft is not simply a tradition. It is essential to the way each bed performs.

Natural materials such as horse tail, Mongolian yak, cashmere, cotton and wool are chosen for their comfort, breathability and ability to regulate temperature and moisture throughout the night.

These materials are also more demanding to work with. Their natural variation requires skill, judgement and techniques that cannot be replicated by machines.

Machinery is used selectively to prepare the materials, from carding horse tail to cutting headboards and curling springs. Everything else, from toppers and mattresses to box springs and upholstered headboards, is made by hand.

Because some elements of exceptional sleep can only be shaped by the human hand.

The Luna bed takes its cues from the refined interiors of a superyacht, bringing a sense of movement and escapism into the bedroom.

Its softly curved frame and fluted headboard are wrapped in neutral linen and edged in rich walnut burr, while integrated brushed brass reading lights add a thoughtful, practical detail.

Beneath the surface, the mattress and base are made to follow Luna’s distinctive shape, with natural fillings of wool, hair and cotton providing breathability, support and lasting comfort.

Handmade to order by Savoir craftspeople in London, Luna is designed for those who want their bedroom to feel as inviting as the journey itself.

A bed painted with meaning.

Created in collaboration with Fromental, the Kiku bed is a study in what becomes possible when two houses of craft come together.

Inspired by Japanese chrysanthemums, late 19th-century ceramics and the delicate artistry of Hokusai’s daughter, the design brings hand-painted Fromental silk wallpaper into an entirely new setting: not on the wall, but across the bed itself.

Panels of decorative silk are paired with two tones of Dedar Tabularasa fabric, then finished with a hand-painted and gilded Fromental cushion. Every element is placed with precision, transforming the bed into something both functional and collectible.

Upholstered by hand at the Savoir London Bedworks, Kiku celebrates a slower, more exacting kind of craft, where embroidery, painting, upholstery and bespoke bedmaking meet.

A room with a view, even before the curtains are drawn.

The Felix bed in Frampton Verdure brings the romance of landscape into the bedroom, with Zardi & Zardi’s reimagined verdure framed across the headboard like a work of art.

Finished with a hand-rolled edge and old gold speckle nailing, every detail is designed to draw the eye, from the painterly fabric to the quiet gleam of its frame.

Hand-upholstered and made to order by Savoir craftspeople in London or Wales, Felix is a bed made for those who believe sleep should come with a little scenery.

A place to rest. A piece to admire.

A masterpiece, reimagined for the bedroom.

Created in collaboration with the National Gallery the Harlech bed is upholstered in Hillside in Provence by Paul Cézanne, transforming one of the artist’s most celebrated works into an immersive interior statement.

Its substantial silhouette was designed as a canvas for exceptional fabric, bringing together craftsmanship, decoration and one of the world’s most celebrated painters in an entirely unexpected way.

A bed that turns the bedroom into a gallery of its own.

Perfection cannot be hurried

At Savoir, we believe there is no substitute for the handmade. For the judgement of the hand, the knowledge of natural materials, and the skill that comes only from years spent refining a craft.

Every Savoir bed begins with one customer and one craftsperson. Nothing is held in stock. Work begins only when an order is placed, with each bed shaped around the person it is made for their body, their comfort, their way of sleeping.

From inception to completion, a single craftsperson takes ownership of the piece, tailoring every detail with care and precision. Only when they are entirely satisfied do they sign the label, like an artist finishing a work.

A bed made by hand. Made to order. Made for one.
