Recently spent a weekend with two quilt makers basting and sewing their quilts together. It’s the first quilt each have made and reflect their very different characteristics and creativity.
In sewing the featured quilt together one of the utterly delightful things was coming across small pieces of fabric showing characters and scenes. The quilt came alive with a feeling of stories it might hold. Clara, the quilt maker here, has a wonderful knack of finding unusual scraps of fabric and putting them together without inhibition to create a glorious whole. Joyous!
