Today was a Violet Upholstery in-house special. Headboard recover.
This lovely giant bed had seen some hair products! But what better than a refresh. We do a full strip and recovering service in your home.

Our crack team, Mads, Tracy , and I are in and out within 4 hours. Headboard is striped, lined, recovered with your choice of fabric and piped.

Just before I went to Thailand on my most wonderful retreat, I was asked to do a job asap for an establishment that was soon to open. I could only do a certain amount due to the fact I was going away days later. This was discussed and acknowledged, I would do what I could with the time I was given.

And so I ensured the most important parts were made, the bench seats were all remade, refoamed and covered perfectly. With the intent that I would be able to complete the backs on my return and do a couple of beautiful settles I had quoted to reseat.

On my return, I discovered they had not paid me for the work agreed and finished, and also, they had not yet opened.

So I had a chat and said I could complete the backs of the banquette and bench seating. I was told that I was too expensive and they had found someone else to complete the job. I offered to sell them the fabric i had remaining so they could match it. But they said they would do it themselves.

I went in to see what they had done.

The first picture shows the new seats in one of the extended bench seating that I completed before I left. The others are of the work completed by the alternative cheaper, better "upholsterer."

I really don't need to say the obvious.

Pay a professional for a professional job.

Edit : I was paid, eventually, for the work I completed.

This little cutie came in as a plain wooden stool, we upholstered it and used the clients own needlepoint to cover it.
