An unusual and whimsical long oak stool raised on finely carved cabriole legs with claw-and-ball feet and distinctive scaled detailing. The carved shell motifs and expressive legs showcase excellent late Victorian craftsmanship.
Traditionally upholstered to hessian stage, ready for reupholstery.
A characterful and decorative antique with age-related wear consistent with period.

19th-Early 20th Century Massim Ignimbrite Ceremonial Adze Blades – Papua New Guinea
A striking set of polished ceremonial adze blades from the Massim region, quarried from rare volcanic islands. Once treasured as wealth in the Kula trade, their value reflected size and polish. Dated 19th–early 20th century, they may be even older, passed down through generations.
