A coven of Cobra chairs designed by . New seat inners with recycled polyester filling, a beautiful hide from and a quick polish on the chrome with some T-Cut. The challenge with this project was fixing the upholstery on, with an all metal frame there was no option to staple. The seats needed to perfectly fit with a cord and toggle system finished off on the clips underneath. Final photo is the 'before' with the old vinyl slipping out of place.
I do love a challenge, me!

Where I'm from that'd mean do things properly or you'll make a mess. Well it looks like we have made a bit of a mess when it comes to looking after the world around us.... Choose wool over polyester and you'll sleep better at night.

The Ringway Centre is a pretty special place in my community of Grove Park in Lewisham. It is a living example of what people can do when they come together. The community group was formed in the 1970s following the defeat of of a proposal to build an urban motorway that could have destroyed the area. There's an incredible cafe , ceramics studio , wood workshops, pilates, a mineral society...and lots more.
And now there's me! It's been a while since I've had a proper workshop space to set down my tools and I'm really honoured that I can be part of this community. I'll be setting back up slowly with commissions and hope to run some workshops here in the near future too.

Just finished a fresh batch of natural fabric cleaner for you to buy at just £5 a pop.
This time I used Nabulsi soap from Palestine, traditionally made in small family industries using just three ingredients: olive oil, water and lye. It's a UNESCO recognised craft that's passed down the generations and something that I know we will all be keen to support.

**All profits will go to Medical Aid for Palestine charity (map.org.uk).**

They come in 100ml glass bottles which you can either use neat for tough stains or dilute in a 1 litre spray bottle for everyday use.
I've just got through potty training my twins and I can 100% vouch for this....it really works!

It's been a while since I've been on the bench, with teaching and helping two little humans navigate the world! But here we are with this lovely traditional dining chair, a donated service for my lovely local community cafe ...will keep you posted!
