Four Woods Ltd Bespoke Furniture /kitchens and Architectural Joinery

We started the company in 2004 with the aim to create high quality bespoke furniture , kitchens and architectural joinery. These can be made from traditional materials such as solid timber or more modern materials such as mdf ,glass or metal. All our furniture is handmade in our workshop in Louth at the foot of the Lincolnshire Wolds using traditional tools and machines but not Cnc machine.

Some exciting news from us at Four Woods Ltd! Today, one of our bespoke kitchens has been featured in KBBFocus!

The feature sees our director and head cabinet maker, Simon Woods, talk through the design, craftsmanship, and challenges behind bringing this kitchen to life. We first shared this project last year, but there were still a few photos left to show you, so what better time than now!

The clients came to us because they “wanted to give the project to a smaller independent cabinet maker rather than a larger company with a big glitzy showroom”.

This is something we’re really proud of at Four Woods Ltd. Being a small, independent business means we can offer a personal hands-on approach, while simultaneously bringing exceptional skill, craftsmanship, and attention to detail to every project. Combining that personal service with the luxury and high quality of our bespoke work is very rewarding.

This house had its canopy, columns, and pilasters removed, as the original had perished beyond repair.

Using traditional skills and craftsmanship, we reassembled the columns, turning a new base on the lathe, repaired the pilasters, and constructed new panels leading to the front door. All the decorative glazing bars you can see in the glass panels were handmade, too!

The canopy was replaced in its entirety, including the hand-carved details, with all new areas constructed in Accoya.

Its been some time since we posted last so we thought we'd start with an unusual but very interesting one!!
This stunning timber handrail on this beautiful property was found to be beyond repair so we were commissioned to replace the curved section with new to match existing.
We constructed the new section in Accoya which carries a 50yr warrantee against decay!
We really enjoyed working on this project and a great end result 😍
