We arrived back home last night after 10 days away in Prelog, Croatia at the World Feeder Clubs Championships.
The fishing was very tough and patchy to say the least with only the odd bonus fish caught in practice we sat our stalls out to catch bleak and small fish. We maybe needed one more day of practice on the bleak to sort the method out properly but each day in the match we had people with top 5 places in the sections but also some high points as they couldnât get bleak into their pegs. Everyone in the team put in a shift all week from the anglers Jim McAllister, Philip Jackson, Philip Hartin, David Herron & Johnny Mckinley to the bank support and captains Kevin Maguire & Richard Wilk who never stopped all week everyone can be proud of their efforts.
It might not of been the result we wanted coming 24th from 36 teams but lessons have been learned moving forward.
It was still a great week away staying in top class accommodation and we had some laughs along the way.
Well done to the winners Drennan Barnsley Blacks who took the venue apart catching bleak each day, they set the benchmark all week and there was no one catching them đ
We would also like to thank our Sponsors:

And to everyone who supported us in our Facebook draws raising money as these trips away are not cheap to attend.

The venue has been very challenging all week but everyone has put in the effort and weâve caught a few fish on a very tough venue.

Just like to wish our boys over in Croatia for the World Feeder Clubs all the best of luck.
It all kicks off in earnest tomorrow although the boys have been there from last Friday, practising on what is proving to be a very difficult venue.

Yesterday was the last round of the Blackwater Summer League on the Argory. The fishing this year hasnât been great compared to previous years but there was some decent weights yesterday to finish the league.
Top weight on the day was Nick Seedon Mr Wonder Yellow who had 20.175kg of skimmers to win the section and the match well done Nick great fishing!
In second place was Johnny Mckinley with 13.925kg and in third place was Johnny Keith with 11.175kg.
Section winners Johnny Keith/Nick Seedon
Overall there were 6 anglers in the mix yesterday to finish the league in the top 4 places with very tight points between them.
The trophy and money were paid out after the match as usual.
Nick Seedon contacted me last night before I posted the results that he should have had one more point than what was recorded from the first match and he should have had 7 points not 6 points. After looking back at the weigh sheet he was correct and I can only apologise to Nick and to everyone else fishing yesterday sometimes mistakes can happen.
League Final Placings
1st Johnny Mckinley 6pts (by weight)
2nd Darren Cloran 6pts
3rd Nick Seedon 7pts (by weight)
4th Philip Jackson 7pts
Final league table is attached.

Today was match 3 of the Blackwater Summer League. The river was in very bad condition after two days of heavy rain there was lots of rubbish floating down and it was very coloured so not great conditions at all.
Saying that there was still some skimmers caught with the top weight on the day going to Pavel Dykun from A section with 3.625kg well done Pavel! Second place went to Jacko who had 3.125kg from B section and third was Meeky Cummings with 2.425kg also from B section.
Mini Section winners
Johnny Mckinley, Pavel Tykun, Paul Heaney/Nick Seedon and Jacko
Back again in 2 weeks time for the final match in the league weâre hopefully the conditions will improve by then.

Over the weekend we held our annual carp trip to Toomans on Friday and Saturday. The weather last week leading up to it wasnât great which didnât help things but the weights were still great over the two days. Top weight over the two days was Kevin Maguire who weighed 234lb on the first day followed by 216lb on a supposedly worse peg to win the trip with 450lb well done Kevin top angling!
Top 4 over the weekend were :
1st Kevin Maguire 450lb 12oz
2nd Johnny Mckinley 290lb
3rd Nigel McKinney 253lb
4th Joel Carson 244lb 10oz
Teams of 3 winners Kevin, W***y & Adam
Total Weight of 825lb 15oz over the two days
Over the two days 2000lb of fish were caught by 9 anglers what a venue Toomans is!
Big thank you to Tony and Looby for letting us use the lake and do the weigh in each day and for looking after us all everyone really enjoyed it.
Thanks to Kevin for running the trip it went without any faults and hopefully we can do it all again next year!
