A good quality early 19th century sewing table that needed some major repairs to the semi circle structure that supported the top and housed the sliding basket. There were many missing areas of veneer on the base and drawer carcase. A shrinkage split on the top also needed attention. As the old veneers are around two to three millimetres thick this was cut from pieces of old solid mahogany. No moden adhesives were used to maintain authenticity.
