After a very stressful day yesterday for a customer who had had her existing polycarbonate roof internally insulated and cladded and then had the roof collapse after 5 months due to a leak building up underneath the insulation and plasterboards! This may be a cheaper option than replacing your old roof completely but at what cost!!!! Sometimes you cannot see it until it’s too late and this lady was sat in the conservatory with her baby and missed the roof collapse by minutes! This is the second phone call we have had in a month, so please be careful with over cladding as the original roof is not made for this purpose. Thankfully she is now having a proper roof but in the long run this has now cost her more. Please call us for any advice!
