Key cupboard built for .J Alexander Dundee. 🔑
Partition formed, partition and back wall cladded in mdf and two 838mm fire doors hung. Mortice lock in the leading door and flush bolt in secondary door.
Probably the biggest key cupboard I'll ever build. Over 1100 hooks in there. 🪝

Fine Saturday job fitting this composite door in a flat, the original door was an internal fire door with a mortice lock providing little security and looked out of place being an internal door.
Composite doors provide excellent security. They are designed to resist forced entry, including kicking and drilling, due to their multi-layered construction (solid timber core, GRP skin) and advanced multi-point locking systems. They are also generally more energy efficient than a uPVC door.
