An antique Persian Yalameh rug (Fars region), wool on wool.

Yalamehs are a Qashqai nomadic subgroup and this rug was produced circa 1930. Featuring 2 yellow and blue ground medallions bordered by a double hook and star motif it has a soft medium wool pile.

Even wear to the pile and some to the edges as per the photographs.
