I finally finished this set of four herringbone fountain pens!

There are about 2,500 individual pieces of red and black wood in each pen, which means there are nearly 10,000 segments in each picture.

​I added solid brass rings and center bands which i love doing as I've just bought a metal lathe. I also had custom engraved the nibs which were gold plated to match the brass highlights.

It took a massive amount of patience to get all those tiny pieces to line up, but I’m really happy with how the herringbone pattern turned out against the brass.

So... it’s been a while… way too long actually! It’s been over a year since I last posted here and nearly three years since my last YouTube video. Life got in the way—work, projects, and, honestly, just trying to find the right balance. But I’ve never stopped creating.

I’m finally getting back into the workshop, and I’ve got some exciting things planned—new pens, resin pieces, and even a big woodworking project as we now have a gaming room which needs some really cool things made for it! If you’re still here, thanks so much for sticking around!

I've been filming since June last year here and there and had a big push trying to get a YouTube video done which is very close to complete, hopefully it will be ready on my Patreon page this weekend and sometime next week going live!

Happy Father's Day!

All finished! 140mm round sphere with brown mallee coloured black, white and gold on the inside of the clear resin.

I also had enough of the mallee to make a nice stand for it :)

Now to get it to its new home.

Im so pleased with how this dragon themed pen has turned out!

1200 pieces of shimmering purple and green wood to represent dragon scales went into making the body and cap for this pen. Sterling silver bands, finial rings and dragon claw roll stop. Dragon head engraved stainless steel jowo nib and in house purple resin with green flakes lining the cap, body and section.

I've been working on something really special for a while now and it's nearly ready to be posted to its new owner.

Here is a sneak peak of the stunning nib. A pelikan M600 solid gold nib with a custom made ebonite feed and bloodwood section.

The pen is a black and red herringbone with gold bandings and clip and bloodwood finials.

The other pen is also a new design that I have not tried before but is also looking stunning. Mini pinecones in purple and white resin with sterling silver highlights.

These 4 pens are now sleeved with resin and ready to turned I to pens!

The sleeves go all the way through the body and cap to male it air tight to help not get in to dry out the ink.
