Frogs and spawn in the pond. This is the latest date so far - we must have fair-weather frogs. It was the mildest night so far too. Who can blame them? I have counted the usual around 30 frogs.

Spent some time sorting out plants and seedlings in my greenhouse and polytunnels during this latest mild spell. I have never come across quite so many aphids, whitefly, small plant hopper type things. Being organic I tend to do squashing of these things and rely on natural predators. Bring on the ladybirds!
June & some of my absolute faves in flower in the garden inc the lovely ‘Fantin-Latour’. http://t.co/oAVWpKLOD1
My book of garden pests says the Large black slug (commonly brown) does not do much damage preferring dead & decaying veg!!
I’ve rarely seen such slug damage as on this Angelica gigas. Found the culprits under the rim - Arion ater. http://t.co/LRJJoHLwXo
