If your brake pads are making a rough grinding noise its past due date. These ones had bonded themselves to the pistons.

Never seen a warning like this before, makes sence since the brakes failed.

With more and more bike having thru-axles we have had a lot of calls to assist with damaged ones and on bikes we are servicing , some of them are on there way too tight.
Its a maximum of 8/9nm to tighten most of them, if you dont have a torque meter thats just basically till it stops rottating freely and a tiny bit more. Brute force is not needed.

Norfolk Cycle Race Weekend is taking place on 12 and 13 July.

On 12 July there will be a time trial and circuit races at the Lotus track, Hethel. And on 13 July Diss CC are hosting a National B, and VC Norwich a Regional B road race on the Lopham circuit.

Bikes used to be so simple. Headsets were all the same, so you'd transfer your trusty Chris King from one bike to the next. I never remember those bikes looking ugly! Some will argue the benefits of new technology. Some tech, maybe, but really some designers, marketeers and production teams are really going too far and missing the point. KISS, keep it simple, stupid! Perhaps I should not complain as I am the one to sort the problems out and, of course, charge for them.
