INTRODUCTION OF THE NEW ROYAL MARINES GLOBE AND LAUREL BADGE

The Globe and Laurel in its current guise with the St Edward’s Crown has been in use since the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. With the succession of King Charles III the Royal Coat of Arms has incorporated the Tudor Crown.
Today authority has now been granted to adopt the use of the Tudor Crown in the badge of the Royal Marines as the standard design throughout the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, including all affiliated charities, the Royal Marines Association, and authorised sports and representative associations.
Reference to the Defence Brand Portal is encouraged to ensure compliance with the approved design and branding standards and with Crown Copyright.

Very large over 2m Ercol sideboard we’re doing for a customer. Here’s the before, stripped and painted stages of this project. As plans change it’s getting painted in Taupe now so stay tuned it’s going to be lovely either way.

As plans change, I just wanted to share this lovely unit in black before we start repainting it.

We loved the black so much I’m planning on doing a court cupboard we have in stock in this colour sometime soon. Send me a DM if interested.

Like to share this beauty, first time doing one of these ercols. it’s over 2m long, It’s so big I’ve had to take the front seats out of the van to move it 🤣

The popular 4 drawer stag bedsides, this set has been fully refurbished then painted in Cashmere and the original solid brass handles restored. The unit was cleaned then treated with h**p oil.

Almost didn’t post this. We saved this cute vintage chair a while ago, it needed extensive repairs and we couldn’t quite make our mind up what we wanted to do with it.

We eventually settled with this ash/silver gilded look that we love. As it happens we also had this lovely mirror that we finished in a similar fashion and they ended up complimenting each other perfectly.

This set went with a lovely couple we met today and should make its way over to France sometime soon.

Both items painted in ash and gilded with silver gilding wax.

Fully refurbished oak cabinet styled in our favourite rustic looking finish. We used a combination of Osmo UK tints and sealed with satin hard wax finish.
