Envirobed™ is an exceptionally dry, recycled paper livestock bedding. Readily available all-year round, Envirobed™ is a highly absorbent and cost-effective option. With correct use, it lasts longer than any other livestock bedding and helps to keep undesirable bacteria at bay. Benefits

• At 95% dry matter, Envirobed™ is extremely absorbent, leading to cows staying drier
and cleaner for longer.

Its favorable pH of 7.4 along with the natural lime content is unattractive to the growth of pathogenic mastitis-causing bacteria.

• The extreme absorbency leads to increased lifespan bedding, with each load lasting at least 3 times as long as heavier bedding options.

• The optimal density of Envirobed stays on cubicle beds better than sawdust, sand or straw. Easy to handle and spread, Envirobed™ suits all kinds of cubicles and robotic milking systems. With the correct use of Envirobed™ cell counts are kept low and mastitis cases are reduced leading to more milk sold, lower vet bills and increased farm profit. Availability

Envirobed™ is available in 30 litre bags (up to 60 bags on a pallet), tote bags and bulk delivery:
27 tonne walking-floor artics and up to 20 tonnes on 8 wheelers. Application

If you’re using Envirobed™ for the first time on mats and mattresses it is important to apply a
good covering - with more bedding towards the front of the cubicle (which the cows will bring
back naturally). Following this as a guide we recommend to apply approximately 1 - 2 kgs per
cubicle per day (with up to 2 - 2.5 kgs for high yield cows if in a separate group), everyday
after cleaning off the back of the cubicles. Envirobed™ can also be used in loose housed systems where we recommend applying a 3 inch
layer onto the floor surface. Once the wet areas of Envirobed dry up, it can be raked through and used again making longer lasting bedding. Envirobed™ can be mixed with other bedding products to heighten absorbency or used as an
underlay to increase the lifespan of the bedding on top. Envirobed™ is also used for poultry, sheep and goats to keep the bedding surface clean and dry. With sheep and goats it is used
as an under-layer with a top surface of straw.
