Danish mid century pair
My customer had a pair of these danish armchairs that thy wanted to keep in the family but needed some love.
They decided to go for a classic, timeless style and chose real leather Saddle in black.
The rubber straps in the seats had become brittle and many had snapped or become extremely loose. So we replaced all of them (imported from Denmark!) and also replaced the back spring loops.
Absolutely timeless

1930’s Art Deco
What a stunner! My customer wanted this pair of 1930s art deco club chairs to be recovered in real leather.
They chose this lovely ‘Old English’ leather in ‘malt’. I adore the colour.
Working with real leather has the added bonus that my workshop ends up smelling amazing!
We kept a similar style, adding decorative nail detail to the back of the chair like the original and piping detail on the arms and backrest.
And there’s a picture of them, pride of place, in the customers home. Stunners.

JET!
The customer inherited this chair and could see its potential but wanted to give it a modern, sleeker look!
Voila!
The new stylish, slick, black plush velvet absolutely helps to show off the stunning shape of this chair.
Twinned with gorgeous golden brass castors, this stylish chair is home and looking extremely glamourous

Pure comfort
This is one of the comfiest chairs I have ever worked on. And, yes, I did try it out!
The customer chose a soft comfy velvet in vine green. You absolutely sink into it, it’s like sitting in a cloud that hugs you back!
It just needs its swivel base back on it

Double dragon
How incredible is this fabric chosen for this chair seat?
The original seat was buckled and worn and in need of a full strip and rebuild.
We ensured we used traditional materials to preserve the original style of the seat.
This fabric choice is an absolute favourite. It looks gorgeous alongside the dark wood and rattan back.

Green with envy
The customer chose this gorgeous Ghent fabric in vine to cover this lovely chair.
We kept a similar style to the original but the fabric choice has helped to modernise and give this chair a new lease of life. It’ll look gorgeous with their footstool to compliment the vine green

Hidden details
For this storage ottoman we lined the inside with leftover fabric from one of the customers other chairs.
A lovely tie in and hidden attention to detail

Why pick 1 colour when you can have 4?!
My colourful customer chose to go for 4 different colour velvets to brighten up their chairs. Kiln, mustard, teal and (my personal favourite) Pistachio.
I love that pistachio zing!!

Summer may feel a long way off… but now is the time to start thinking about getting your outdoor cushions ready. Don’t leave it until the last minute!

Slip stitch donuts
I often see dining chairs with faux leather that has started to completely flak and disintegrate away. These 4 dining chairs were a prime example.
The customer opted for a stain resistant fabric called Koki in powder blue
In order to get the stunning shape of the chairs they had to be hand slip stitched closed. Time consuming but definitely outlet worth it. Each section pinned out in place to ensure a perfect final finish.
Worth the extra bit of attention to detail
