☀️ 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲, 𝘀𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀… 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗮 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹-𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁! 🍦

With temperatures soaring today, we thought our fantastic team deserved a little way to cool down.

The ice cream van made a welcome stop at WOODLAND, giving everyone the chance to enjoy a refreshing treat and take a well-earned break from the heat.

It’s the small things that can make a big difference, and we’re proud to look after the people who make Woodland what it is every single day.

Here’s to sunshine, teamwork and a scoop (or two!) of appreciation. 😎🍦☀️

⁣
Each year, Earth Day is a chance to reflect on how we operate and the role we play in building a more sustainable future.⁣
⁣
At Woodland Furniture Group, sustainability runs through both our manufacturing businesses, from Woodland NI in Rasharkin to JTC Furniture Group in Dundee, forming a scalable UK-based platform delivering high-quality kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture while reducing environmental impact.⁣
⁣
Across both sites, one principle remains: products should be built to last. Whether for retail or large-scale projects in social housing, PBSA and build-to-rent, durability reduces lifecycle impact through fewer replacements, less waste and lower material use.⁣
⁣
At Woodland NI, investment in modern machinery has improved material yield, reduced waste and increased energy efficiency. At JTC Furniture Group, our Dundee facility enables UK-wide scale while reducing reliance on long-distance supply chains, improving lead times and cutting transport emissions.⁣
⁣
Together, both sites focus on responsible sourcing, waste reduction, energy efficiency and consistent quality at scale.⁣
⁣
As we grow, efficiency remains key. Through smarter production planning, improved workflows and ongoing energy evaluation, we are reducing manufacturing intensity while maintaining high standards.⁣
⁣
Keeping manufacturing local supports skilled employment, strengthens regional supply chains and reduces transport-related impact.⁣
⁣
Earth Day isn’t a milestone, it’s a reminder. We remain committed to continuously improving how we design, manufacture and deliver.⁣

We’re continuing to explore how AI can support the way we design at Woodland Furniture Group, not as a future concept but as a practical tool within our day-to-day workflow.⁣⁣
⁣⁣
Across projects in Build to Rent, social housing and student accommodation, we’re already using it to:⁣⁣
⁣⁣
• Develop realistic visual concepts earlier in the design process⁣⁣
• Help clients better understand layouts, materials and finishes⁣⁣
• Create clearer, more engaging presentation content⁣⁣
• Quickly explore multiple design options without starting from scratch⁣⁣
⁣⁣
The focus is always the same. Keeping everything grounded in real world design, CAD accuracy and buildability, with AI helping us communicate ideas faster and with greater clarity.⁣⁣

𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 | 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐖𝐡𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐈𝐭 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧

Meet 𝐑𝐞𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐜𝐚 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧, HR Officer at Woodland, who has been with the company for just over a month. She plays a key role in keeping teams supported, engaged and ready to deliver, while handling the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep HR running efficiently.

Rebecca’s days are varied and dynamic. She supports recruitment and onboarding, checks in with teams, answers HR queries and helps navigate people challenges. She also manages planned tasks such as reporting, training support and policy work, while tackling unexpected issues as they arise, ensuring the business and its people continue to perform at their best.

She enjoys being part of a local, thriving company where she can see the real impact of her work. Rebecca values building close relationships across teams and finding creative ways to develop and support colleagues.

Outside of work, Rebecca is always planning her next adventure. If there is a major event happening anywhere, she has probably already bought the tickets, worked out the route and convinced someone to come along before checking the weather. Her suitcase is almost always packed and ready to go, with her next trip often booked before she even returns from the last one.
