FAREWELL to Fleur Paint UK!

We have LOVED having the beautiful Chalky Look paint ranges and more in store from Fleur Paint, however the time has come to say goodbye as our stocks are starting to dwindle. As with all things, we thought it deserved to go out with a bang, so there is now 50% off all remaining stock while it lasts! No code necessary, discount will automatically apply in cart.

A huge thanks to Cait, Gibson, James and the wider team that have supported us on our Fleur journey- but as we prepare for the next step of the JLH story we are having a SALE!

Have you checked out the “new” florist in town? 🥰 it’s great to see Danielle back in a shop and making her beautiful arrangements! We had a sneak look before she opened the doors but not been back yet, but we will be soon as little miss JLH has her eyes on the pick and mix flower cart where you can pick your own bouquet! Isn’t that the cutest idea… anyways if you haven’t spotted the shop yet, it’s at the top of Redcar High St, next to Dr Inks and over the road from the old Workies.

Shop is back open tomorrow 💐

Sorry for the boring but necessary post today! Sometimes we are asked to add items to your order, which we do and ship straight away- if you have an outstanding invoice for these items, we kindly ask that you clear this as soon as possible, we will be sending out reminders today, please know we value you all immensely but we have to collect these outstanding amounts asap- the accountant is not a happy guy and says we have to stop doing this :(

THE UK IS GETTING VERY, VERY CLOSE!

In just over two weeks, I’ll be packing an unreasonable number of coats—apparently Lincolnshire in late October is not the time to be optimistic about the weather—and heading to the UK!

This trip feels particularly special because Mint by Michelle™ has had such extraordinary support from the UK furniture-painting community for years. I’ve watched your transformations, shared your work and spoken to so many of you online—and now I finally get to meet some of you properly.

On Saturday, we’ll be talking all things furniture transformation and business, sharing ideas, learning from one another and then rounding it all off with dinner and vino. Honestly, what more could we want?

The weekend will also include workshops, creativity, community and plenty of Mint by Michelle—including some of The Made to Feel Collection. They may be completely flat sheets of paper, but I’m fully expecting people to touch them just to make sure.

It’s all happening in Lincolnshire on 24 and 25 October, and I would absolutely love to see you there.

Well this has been a weekend done right for team JLH! Just want to say a huge shout-out to the organisers of the inaugural firedandinspiredpotfestival at Yarm! We were lucky enough to enjoy workshops with the lovely Anna from Cutters for clay and Wendy & Sue from creativechickenworkshop. As well as lots of demos, it was great to see such an array of amazing local talent’s work on display! Looking forward to next year already- great new event for our area.

It’s not always fancy big projects that we have on the work bench here at Just Like Home; some days we enjoy the quiet simplicity of gesso’ing mouldings and these stunning ornate snowflakes are some of our favourites from the Frost Spark mould ❄️

The best surprise after a day off- new moulds with castings in… all ready to use! 🥰
