🔧 Another Clutch Repair Completed! 🔧

This customer called us after breaking down at the side of the road. After contacting several other garages who were either fully booked or going away on holiday, she was struggling to find anyone who could get the repair completed.

We arranged to have the vehicle recovered to us at 4pm, and got straight to work.

A new 3-piece clutch kit was installed, along with a few additional parts we identified as needing replacement while carrying out the repair.

The vehicle was repaired, checked and ready to go the very next day. ✅🚗

🔧 Oil Sump Leak Repair & Steering Component Replacement 🔧

A customer recently came to us for the replacement of some steering components. During the work, we noticed an oil leak coming from the sump.

On further inspection, we found that the sump had previously been resealed by the customer. Unfortunately, too much silicone had been used, with excess sealant coming dangerously close to blocking the oil pickup pipe. The silicone also hadn’t cured correctly, resulting in the oil leak.

We removed the excess silicone, thoroughly cleaned and prepared the surfaces, and professionally resealed and refitted the sump.

The vehicle was then left for a full 24 hours to allow the sealant to cure properly before carrying out our final checks for any leaks. ✅

A good example of why the correct amount of sealant — and allowing proper curing time — is so important when carrying out this type of repair. 🔧🛠️

🔧 VW Scirocco – Clutch Replacement 🚗

This VW Scirocco came into us suffering from loss of clutch pressure.

After carrying out a full diagnosis, we found the clutch was nearing the end of its life. Once stripped down, it was very clear that the clutch had done its job and was well overdue for replacement.

We recently had a Nissan Elgrand come into the workshop with excessive rear tyre wear.

After carrying out a full geometry check on our Hunter wheel alignment system, we found the rear camber could only be adjusted so far before it hit its limit.

After further diagnosis, we discovered the vehicle had been fitted with aftermarket rear springs, which were causing the suspension geometry to sit outside the manufacturer's specifications.

We sourced the correct genuine-spec replacement springs from a Japanese parts supplier and fitted them. Once installed, the rear camber returned to specification automatically, allowing us to complete the wheel alignment correctly.

The result? ✅ Rear geometry back within spec, ✅ even tyre wear going forward, and most importantly, another happy customer!
