Upstairs is now completely gutted, and look at all that space we've opened up in the attic. 💪🏽

Taking the time to get this part right sets it all up nicely for the next parts. There's nothing worse than a messy work site!

We're making way for the double storey extension at the renovation project in Cinderford. 👊🏼

Thanks so much for this, Jane, it means a lot to us. We're glad the vaulted ceiling and bifold doors have worked out well, especially with the plans for Christmas and family get togethers. Following on from the knock through and steels going in last week, the new space is now really starting to come along.

The walls and ceilings have been boarded where needed, beads fitted around the new openings and the plaster is going on throughout.

You can really see the difference already with what was two separate rooms is starting to feel like one large open space.

Still plenty to do, but a good bit of progress 💪🏽

Kitchen to living area knock through, steels installed. Floor pulled up to replace a rotten joist, new tongue and groove boards gone back down.

Plastering and new kitchen lined up next...

Not sure if working inside or outside is preferred at the minute 🥵

Hallway and stairs... gutted!

Same story as the living room. Strip it back and the house tells you what's been hiding.

Exciting to see what we have to play with though! 😁

These Velux windows installed on the extension we completed in Rockfield, Monmouth. Just shows how much light you can get into a single room.

They bring in around twice the light of a vertical window the same size which makes a huge difference when the room is going to be used as a living space. ☀️

It's amazing what you can unearth when you strip back to bare walls. The moment of structural truth on any renovation, good or bad!

This property in Cinderford is like stepping back in time. Very dated, but that's exactly what we thrive on at Elements.

We've been brought in to strip it back to the skeleton and rebuild it fresh. Alterations throughout, double storey rear extension and a full loft conversion.
