The start of a side table in teak, was thinking about a corrian top framed in purple heart for some colour? Whats people's opinions?

The shelves are starting to fill up nicely, full of all kids of things from serving trays, chopping boards, cooking spoon rests, and verious novelty and gifts The Makers Emporium in Rotherham centre, please go and pay a visit if your on the look out for something hand made in yorkshire.

First little project finished off this week ready to go down to The Makers Emporium in Rotherham town centre this weekend, I really do like how the finney's hardwax oil brings out the natural grain, it has been one of my go to finnishings lately.

Does anyone have any experience with rubio monocoat?
Mainly I want to know if it is
1) worth the price
2) have any qualities that put it above its competitors
3) how durable is the finnish
Any information or advice about this product would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry to anyone who might find this interesting because I have not been posting much lately, however this is because I have been really busy trying to make some stock for our new space in the rotherham makers market starting next week.
Theres not much to look at right now but I have plans to fill the shelves as much as I can with items ranging from bookmarks, bottle openers, mopping boards, serving trays, page holders, tablet and mobile stands aswell as hand carved wands like that you see in the pics.

Who can guess the timber species used in this upcoming project?

Can't make my mind up, I can either make this into 1 serving tray or i can cut in half and make 2 chopping boards.
Whats people thoughts?

Made this chisel box for a friend today and just wanted to say I really enjoyed making this, it is mainly ash with a strip of sapele down the middle and a sapele handle.
I finished it off with a tinted uv Protective oil from osmo and it really did the job.
