Lamp Light of Peace Remembrance Event

We invite everyone in the community to come together for the Lamp Light of Peace Remembrance event, joining the national celebrations across the UK by witnessing the illumination of the Island Chapel and singing hymns and Cornish songs. And to represent the lights of peace we ask you to bring a torch, a lantern or your mobile phone to shine into the skies.

Everyone is invited to St Ives Royal British Legion to watch the St Ives Community Choir perform from 7pm.

Ever visited a pub called the Bucket of Blood?

If you're spending your holidays around St Ives Bay, here's somewhere a little different to discover!

Tucked away in the village of Phillack, near Hayle, The Bucket of Blood is a traditional Cornish pub with a rather unusual name and plenty of character.

Steeped in local history and folklore, it's one of those places that's well worth seeking out while exploring the area.
