Established in 1884, we offer a comprehensive design and manufacturing service through our team of in-house professional designers. Starting as home grown timber merchants the company has evolved through saw milling, fencing, specialist joinery, merchanting and DIY to become a true specialist in timber engineered products, providing a total package to service this demanding market. We know wood, and we know its strengths and weaknesses, which makes us highly qualified to be progressive in the timber engineering discipline. Over the years we have worked on all sizes of projects, from garages to multi-million pound mixed-use developments and our staff are committed to providing service.

Project Update: Structural Timber Roof Carcass installation complete at Elderswell Retirement Village, Bedford.

We’re proud to have designed, manufactured and installed the roof carcass for ten Assisted Living apartment blocks for Countryside Properties, part of Vistry Group, at Inspired Villages Elderswell Retirement Village.

Designed to sit comfortably alongside the character of the surrounding village, these roofs were anything but simple, featuring stepped eaves, varying ridge heights, hips, valleys and Dormers.

Our in-house team delivered a comprehensive Roof Truss solution to bring the project together, including Raised Collar Trusses, Girder Trusses, Fire Break Spandrel Panels and Flat Roof Trusses, all delivered 100% On Time In Full and installed on schedule.
