The NFF '65 Club: Celebrating Sean. 🚛❤️

If you ask Sean what year New Forest Fencing was founded, he’ll tell you with complete confidence: 1961.

Now, while NFF actually opened its doors in 1965 - and Sean himself was born in 1961 - those who know him best will appreciate that math has never gotten in the way of a brilliant story!

Sean joined us when he was just 19 years old. Today, at 65, he remains one of the absolute heartbeats of our delivery team and a true legend of the business.

Over the decades, Sean has done pretty much every job going:
🌲 Working back when our current front yard was entirely dense woodland (before it was replanted at the back).
🚛 Steering tiny forklifts through the original narrow yard lane long before artic lorries could even dream of fitting down it.
🔨 Hand-making timber panels in the workshop.
📦 Serving generations of local customers on the trade counter.
🎅 Serving as our official 'Chief Elf' every Christmas - delivering gifts to customers and taking gift donations out to local charities.

He’ll also happily recount the pre-rigorous Health & Safety days - like the time a chap named 'John' fell headfirst into the old creosote dipping tank after a belt hook snapped!! 🫣😬

..From a single timber shed to the multi-site business we are today, Sean has seen every single chapter of our growth. Ask him what keeps him coming to work every day, and he'll tell you it’s the team: working alongside Yard Manager Steve, 'young' Freddie, and remembering the days of working alongside Grandad back in the yard.

Businesses are built on machinery, materials, and sites - but they thrive because of people like Sean.
