Tucked away in Shropshire countryside, up a winding drive lined with ancient oaks, is Nun Upton.

Dating back to the 16th century, Nun Upton has been carefully restored to retain the character of an old country house while offering all the ease and comfort of a modern home.

Original timbers and roaring fires sit alongside playful interiors and beautifully considered furnishings, with generous, sociable spaces made for bringing everyone together.

Outside acres of farmland stretch out around the house, with sweeping lawns and far-reaching views. And when it’s time to slow down, there’s a secluded outdoor spa with a wood-fired hot tub, sauna and cold shower.

A place to gather, switch off and stay awhile.

Meet Monroe.

Clean, geometric lines are softened by gently curved arms, deep cushions and beautifully detailed piping, creating a sofa that feels smart without being too formal.

Made in the UK, the collection includes three sofa sizes and a loveseat, with the choice of stained wooden feet or a visible hardwood plinth. The piping can also be finished in a contrasting or complementary colour for an extra bit of detail.

Generous enough to properly settle into, while keeping a beautifully neat silhouette.

The coffee table is often where a room comes together.

A stack of books, something collected, a touch of greenery and a candle or two can turn an otherwise empty surface into a detail that feels personal and lived in.

The trick is not to fill every inch. Mix heights, textures and shapes, then leave a little space for the things that naturally find their way there.
