📖 The History Of Marshbeck 📖

Once a Church built in 1827, the building hadn’t been in use for some time, so it was then refurbished and reopened as a shopping arcade with different independent businesses all under one roof.

At this time local auctions took place from the showroom.

Gradually, furniture sales took over and Marshbeck was born in 1982, exclusively retailing traditional and antique replica furniture.

25 years later ... the goal was to create an ‘anti high street’ shop, opting for unique and unusual items that side-stepped the mainstream.

With the rise of 'poor quality' furniture we decided to start making it better!

The team expanded, along with our skills and capabilities, putting us in full control of design, through to finish.

Also, with the 'lack of care' of delivery companies, we moved to having a small fleet of vans and dedicated drivers to offer our customers the best service.

44 years on and still going strong!

Finished off with some bespoke solid oak legs and frame. Love it 😊
