Here is the next post in series about how to order workwear if you have never done it before. So you have had a consultation with your team, decided on what they are going to wear and that will include any ethnic requirements and special requests. You also have a colour in mind and you have a logo. So here are the next steps.
1. Find a supplier - they don't have to be local, but they should have a decent website which shows all the brands and sizes, colours and importantly - prices and delivery charges. They are the experts so ask them questions and any concerns you might have
2. They should be able to print and/or embroider on the clothing. Some don't offer an embroidery/ print service them selves.
3. They should be able to offer a sample service. This is not normally free unless you view the samples, return them in an unworn condition within 30 days and there will be no charge. If you keep them or return them damaged or with signs you have worn them, they will charge you the cost of the clothes. Different companies have different rules, so do check this.
4. They should have plenty of brands on offer. Look for Uneek, Gildan, Orn, Fruit of the Loom etc...
5. Don't buy cheap... you really get what you pay for with workwear and don't buy every one " one each " to save money. One to wash and one to wear should be the minimum for polo's and T Shirts. A decent workwear brand from someone like Uneek or Orn should last two years, maybe a bit longer.
6. Order in plenty of time. Lead times for clothing can vary depending on the time of the year. July/August is very busy. So allow at least 7/14 days to be on the safe side, especially if you are wearing them for an event.
