Once referred to by Nikolaus Pevsner as one of the most important buildings in England, last week St Stephen Walbrook was transformed into a magnificient dining space for an evening with Angela Hartnett

Smart Friends brought together their Bronze Smart Friends beneath the venues iconic dome and travertine altar for an evening of Michelin-starred food, candlelight and a floral installation that grew around the altar. Our furniture and tableware dressed the tables that surrounded one of the most extraordinary centrepieces any room in London has to offer.

Itโ€™s amazing how much light can transform a space. ๐Ÿ•ฏ๏ธโœจ

Kings Place in September, shot at two different points in the same day is the perfect example.

The daylight version makes use of natural sun peeking through the window with flickers of candlelight. By night, those same candles are joined by black tablecloths and purple uplighting, transforming the room it into something else entirely.

Every October the BFI Southbank becomes the centre of Londonโ€™s film calendar. Last month it also became the backdrop for Events by Benugoโ€™s Autumn/Winter new season showcase. ๐ŸŽฌ๐Ÿ‚

Raclette stations, Ibรฉrico ham, caviar, seasonal canapรฉs and a menu that ran all the way through to dulcey chocolate and Amarula ganache.

We dressed the space throughout with bars, lounge furniture, glassware, screens and serving pieces, for an evening that moved seemlessly from canapรฉs to fine dining.

Shot by the way the building deserves to be filmed, beginning outside, watching the room coming together, then finally sharing the evening itself. No detail missed.

The Chandelle chair arrives in new colourways, joining our already vast selection. The Cancoon chair brings a new seat pad pattern to its neoclassical frame. The ottomans speak for themselves. And the glassware, conceived around the principle that the glass is never an afterthought, is soon to be available to hire.
