Whether you’re looking for used furniture and household items or have something you no longer need, Furnitrust in Taunton are here to help.
We are a well-established furniture re-use charityand we aim to meet peoples’ practical needs by collecting good quality used items and finding new homes for them through our shop in Bridge St, Taunton.
Last year we re-used over 110 tonnes of furniture (over 2 tonnes a week!) a lot of which would otherwise end up in landfill. We offer a wide range of items for sale at prices to suit all budgets and are known for our friendly and helpful service. We collect and deliver all over Somerset - collections are free and we keep our delivery prices as low as we possibly can. We are now also offering a full house clearance service – contact us for a free estimate!
We also work closely with Somerset Council, ARC (formerly Taunton Association for the Homeless), RAFT (Refugee Aid for Taunton) and other local charities to provide furniture, white goods, bedding and kitchen essentials to people who are moving into unfurnished accommodation, often with nothing of their own.
We pride ourselves on our ethics and social responsibility, and are committed to supporting people with social, mental health or other challenges back into paid employment through work placements with us. also work with local colleges to offer placements for students; some enjoy it so much they continue volunteering with us when their placement has finished.
You can get in touch by phone on 01823 253053, email [email protected], catch us on Facebook or visit our website at https://www.furnitrust.org.uk/or better still just pop in to the shop – we’re open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 4pm and you’ll find us in Bridge St, just down over the bridge and we’ve got parking for collections and drop-off at the rear of the shop in Yarde Place (opposite Wood St car park). Our stock turns over very quickly, so if we haven’t got exactly what you’re looking for at the time we’ll probably have it within a couple of weeks or even less.
