Suede and macassar combo makes for something super chic. Got some muscle this chair but countered by some lovely curves. Now online and in the showroom

Nicely cast gilt lead mounts swag their way across an almost edible green ground, all set off by a luscious purple breche violette top.

Our first Turner’s Stop ordered in a walnut stain and we’re rather taken with it! The possibilities for these are endless. I have one in my house which is the standard plain tulipwood, but I’m now thinking about changing it to a sludgy green lacquer. How would you have yours finished?

Just in: a large maple veneered commode by Maurice Rinck (1902 - 1983).
Designed for Maison Rinck.Paris, circa 1940

Founded in 1841, Maison Rinck was a well-respected design house and manufacturer of fine furniture. Although primarily a designer and maker of traditional furniture, influenced largely by earlier French design movements, Maurice Rinck modernised the company when he took over in the 1930s and introduced a more Art Deco aesthetic in line with the fashions of the time. Rather than reject the family’s traditional skills, Maurice applied them to a new visual language. Geometric compositions, restrained ornament and carefully considered proportions could coexist with exceptional joinery, fine veneers and elaborate finishes.

Just in: a pair of terracotta Montelupp oil jars by Carlo Bitossi.

Italy, circa 1940s.

These oil jars carry a distinctly Tuscan story: terracotta shaped by hand, fire, and generations of craft. The Bitossi family’s roots lie in Montelupo Fiorentino, one of Italy’s historic pottery centres, where large coppi - oil storage jars - were part of a tradition of making vessels for everyday life. For centuries the jars were sent from Montelupo down the Arno to be filled with olive oil and then exported far and wide.
