Are there any local councils left to declare regarding Southern Water's performance?

Sandown Town Council unanimously declares no confidence in Southern Water’s local operations

Isle of Wight Council has issued a press release regarding the activities of its newly created Improvement Board (below).

As I have been repeatedly pressed for details, and to try my best to answer the questions:

Board:
Rob Whiteman (Chair)
Brian Roberts (Finance)
Alan Adams (ASC)
Eleanor Brazil (Children’s Services)
Wendy Barrett (Waste Management)
Nick Searl (Local Government Association)
Malcolm Grimston (Councillor at Wandsworth)

There was no vote of Councillors to appoint the Improvement Board membership.

Board meetings are attended by a very few pre-selected Isle of Wight Cllrs only.

None of our All for Islanders Group, or the remaining majority of elected Councillors, are permitted to attend their meetings.

Nor are we permitted to see their meeting agendas, the papers submitted to them, or their minutes.

Nor are we permitted to submit material to them.

Nor are we able to submit questions to their meetings.

Nor are members of the public permitted to attend their meetings or submit questions to them.

Freshwater Bay Marsh Chippings.

Many will have seen the growing pyramids of wood chippings created by the monster machine at Freshwater Bay marshes.

Today, Natural England confirmed that they are happy for a local residents to help them ourselves to the massive piles, provided they do so at their own risk and not to interfere whilst the operations are ongoing.
