The Relyon name was born out of a reptutaion for hand crafting wonderfully comfortable natural mattress. From grandparents, to parents, to sons and daughters, generations of Somerset artisans have passed down their aprons of knowledge keeping very much alive the traditional skills that make Relyon beds, the best beds in the world.

After spending time behind the scenes at Relyon, learning about the craftsmanship and care that goes into making our mattresses, Woolly has officially hit the road!

Suited and booted for his first customer visit, he popped into Roomes of Upminster to meet Ricky and Suki and see our mattresses proudly on display.

A big thank you to Ricky and Suki for giving Woolly such a warm welcome! 💜

He's certainly enjoying getting to know the people who help our customers find their perfect night's sleep.

Today we say a very fond farewell to Vera, who is retiring after nearly 20 years with Relyon.

Over that time, Vera has been a valued member of the team and a familiar face to colleagues and customers through her role in Sales Ledger.

We’d like to thank her for all her hard work, commitment and support over the years, and wish her every happiness for the future.

We hope retirement brings plenty of time for cricket, National Trust visits and perhaps even a little bowls!

World Clean Up Day tends to get people thinking about the bigger picture—but for us, it’s also about the quieter, everyday decisions that sit behind the scenes.

At Relyon, we’ve worked hard to make sure our manufacturing site sends zero waste to landfill. It’s not something we switch on for a campaign or a single day—it’s built into how we operate, day in, day out.

Because creating a better sleep environment shouldn’t come at the expense of the world around us. The two go hand in hand.

So while today is a great moment to pause and reflect, for us it’s also a reminder to keep doing what we’re already committed to—reducing impact, being responsible, and making things the right way.

Today, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate a very special milestone for Nicky Berry – 40 years of dedicated here at Relyon 💜

Starting out in our Sales Office four decades ago, Nicky has built an incredible career within the business and today serves as our Area Sales Manager for the South West!

Over the years, Nicky has seen plenty of changes in the mattress industry, but one thing has remained constant – her commitment to our customers and colleagues.

The strong relationships Nicky has built with customers across the South West is a testament to her knowledge, dedication and friendly approach, while the support, experience and good humour they bring to the team has made them a much-valued colleague and friend to so many.

Here’s to four decades of hard work, great relationships and plenty of mattresses! 🛏️

After visiting every department across the factory, Woolly made one final stop before he heads out on his travels—the Security team.

As the first people to welcome visitors and the last to wave everyone goodbye, the Security team helps keep our site safe, secure and running smoothly every day. From managing access to supporting colleagues and visitors, they're an important part of the Relyon team.

Now it's time to swap the factory for the open road, as Woolly sets off to meet our customers and retail partners across the UK.
