“I wanted to join Morland because I saw a great opportunity to start building a career where I can develop my skills and take on new challenges. I’m someone who enjoys learning, adapting and getting stuck into things, so I’m looking forward to developing my knowledge as a Trainee Specification Technician and seeing where I can take the role.”

He’s a naturally hands-on person who enjoys being able to adapt to different situations and get stuck into new challenges.

Outside of work, Louis enjoys keeping active with golf and rugby — so we’re sure he’ll fit right in!

It's that time of year again... the walking boots are coming back out! 🥾

Our team has officially started training for Morland's annual charity walk, and this year's challenge is a little closer to home.

On Friday 18th September, the team will set off from our headquarters in Welshpool, following the Severn Way all the way to Shrewsbury – a journey of approximately 25 miles.

While this route may not have the mountain climbs of previous years, it will be every bit as challenging. Covering 25 miles on foot is a huge mental and physical test, but the team is determined to complete it for a fantastic cause.

This year, we're once again proud to be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support, helping them continue to provide vital support to people living with cancer and their families.

📢 VACANCY – Warehouse Team Leader

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team at Buttington Cross Enterprise Park, Welshpool.

Purpose of the Role

Coordinate warehouse activity to maintain the safe, accurate and timely flow of materials and finished goods across the Morland site.

Key Responsibilities

• Allocate daily workloads and priorities for warehouse operatives.
• Coordinate goods receiving, storage, picking, internal transfers and dispatch.
• Ensure all IPG policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
• Manage team absence and holidays to meet warehouse labour requirements.
• Ensure stock control processes are followed and investigate any discrepancies.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, storage and safe working practices.
• Support training and induction of team members, providing day-to-day coaching.
• Escalate any risks affecting production or delivery performance.

Decision Making & Authority

• Organise day-to-day warehouse activities and labour allocation.
• Escalate capacity issues, recurring stock discrepancies and safety concerns.

Over the past two weeks, we've had the pleasure of welcoming William to Morland for his work experience placement.

During his time with us, William spent time with a number of departments to gain an insight into how the business operates and the different roles involved in manufacturing.

That said, there was one area that stood out as his favourite! William particularly enjoyed working alongside Wayne in our Pick & Pack warehouse, helping to package and label customer orders ready for dispatch.

A big thank you to William for all his hard work over the last two weeks. We hope you've enjoyed your time with us, learnt plenty along the way, and wish you all the very best for the future.

We're looking for a Production Team Leader to join our Moulding Department at Unit 4, Buttington Cross Enterprise Park, Welshpool.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a production team, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards while supporting continuous improvement across the department.

✔ Leading and supporting the production team
✔ Allocating tasks to meet daily production plans
✔ Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and housekeeping
