This stunning pine bureau bookcase is finished in our signature look – a soft, antiqued wash that shows the grain and natural knots of the pine.

The style sits somewhere between Scandinavian and country cottage, so it works in both pared-back modern spaces and older homes with character.

The bureau’s three deep lower drawers provide plenty of storage, while the drop-down section makes a practical desk for a laptop, letter writing or a gift-wrapping station. The intricate cubbyhole interior is finished with gold leaf to add a soft, luxurious touch.

The upper bookcase is finished with natural raffia panels on the doors, which adds a soft, textured feel that works well in calmer, neutral interiors. It brings warmth and will suit both bedroom and living spaces, adding not only character but also functionality.

We designed this finish to allow the piece to age naturally and gracefully, making it exceptionally forgiving to everyday use. Treated with oil in matt finish for lasting protection.

I was recently told I should clearly label my images as AI generated and the comment stopped me in my tracks, to be honest. I’m not sure if I should feel flattered or offended by it…

Growing up at the tail end of communist soviet era, where everything and everyone had to be the same and any attempts to be an individual were suppressed for ideological reasons, I feel passionately about creativity, being able to follow my creative instincts and not having to follow the crowd!

Everything you see on this page, every piece I work with is my own journey from the moment I find it to the day it is delivered to your home.
From research, design, choice of colours, products, actual repairs and restoration process, staging and photography, to obsessing over details and finishing touches, wrapping and shipping - it’s all me and my team, well, my family - having teenage kids is finally paying off😂)

Photography is another layer of that creative flow. I absolutely love setting the scene, the mood and “dressing up” the piece and I hope it shows in the final result.

So no, I won’t be labelling any of my images with “AI generated” label because they are all produced by me:)

This extremely rare solid mahogany chiffonier bureau was transformed from an old style clavichord at some point- most likely in the early 19th century.
The inside still bares a little secret - handwritten note letters for strings that were once were attached and made music 😍

Repurposing musical instruments into sophisticated furniture became a creative solution in the 19th century as musical fashions shifted and the clavichord faded from popularity.

We have yet again extended this piece’s life carefully restoring its stunning features. It’s been cleaned and treated for woodworm, some structural repairs were made and gilding finishes were added to accentuate stunning carvings.
