I loved every minute of this renovation, stripped the original layers off down to the first stitched hair pads to find that the original upholstery was in excellent condition..

I added new cotton felt, a barrier cloth to make the shape and then topped off with this incredible printed velvet from Linwood Fabrics.

It's making its way to a very special client...

I'm delighted to share with you this modern wingback, (scroll to the end for before pic 😬...) re upholstered from my brand new upholstery workshop!

I've combined forces with the incredible, family run, bespoke furniture manufacturer, Paneltech.

I'll now be completing my commissions from their inaugural upholstery workshop and department which I set up, as well as tackling some huge commercial projects for them.

The new workshop is clean, bright, weather tight (bliss 😅) and has all mod cons.. watch this space for more great collaborations and keep your enquiries coming...

I had an absolute blast today with a full house of 8 fabulous attendees at my first Seagrass Footstool Weaving Workshop at Victoria Works Studios in Chalford near Stroud!

It's such a creative hub with loads of resident artists and lots of visiting tutors like myself offering one day workshops.

I love all the little quirky details of this building and the hints of its industrial past. It's been a walking stick factory, and a chair making factory (Chalford chairs). One of my pics show annotated pattern pieces for each style of chair hanging on the walls of the corridors, written on by the makers. I also love the little bolted hatch door in the massive industrial sliding door through to the studios.
