I’m on my way to Grantham for a couple of days of workshops and meetings some extraordinary artists and lovely stockists of Mint by Michelle I love her decoupage papers they are completely different from any others.
I love how furniture artists can use the same one and make them look so different The rocky crystal interiors and Jonathon Marc Mendes and going to be sharing their knowledge and skills with us and I can’t wait to bring some new ideas back.
Sorry the shop is closed but it’s important for me to have a little down time too, the workshops just happen to be taking place in a beautiful spa so I’ll be making the most of the facilities.
See you back in the shop on Thursday.

And that’s a wrap on this week’s final piece! Will be in the shop tomorrow.
What a way to finish the week! 🖤♠️
This original G Plan Tola 8-drawer sideboard is huge it has had a seriously bold makeover, featuring the fabulous Maison de Jeu wallpaper designed by Christian Lacroix Maison .
The mix of playing cards, beautiful illustrations and intricate details against the black background hand painted with Frenchic Blackjack Trim paint for a flawless finish, gives this mid-century classic a whole new personality. The original brass handles and those gorgeous tapered legs have been restored, it’s a real statement piece for anyone who likes their interiors with a little drama!
Definitely not one for the beige brigade!

The final piece in my trilogy of celebrating the lives of those we’ve recently lost.
This one is dedicated to the one and only Dolly — a soul who lived, loved, and embraced life to the fullest.
A celebration of a life, a legacy, and the memories that will live on long after we’re gone.
Together with my Rocky Horror / Tim Curry piece and my Day of the Dead piece, this trilogy is my way of honouring those we’ve lost, remembering the impact they’ve had, and celebrating the beauty of the lives they lived.

Because while life may not last forever, the love, memories, and spirit we leave behind live on.
Gone but never forgotten. Forever celebrated.

A little change to opening hours!

The shop will be closed on Saturday 24th, Sunday 25th and Monday 26th October while I head off for some amazing workshops with fellow artists and fellow stockists!
I’m really looking forward to learning new things, sharing ideas and getting lots of inspiration to bring back to Brits Love Vintage Interiors.
I’ll be back in the shop on Thursday 29th October, full of enthusiasm and armed with loads of new ideas to share with you!

This little unit had been covered in a red stain and varnish and the drawers painted with white gloss.
Now it’s a one off statement piece for any room. Hand painted with Blackjack from the Trim range, a decoupage print that wasn’t quite big enough so blended in and stencil added. Don’t dream it be it, a message for us all.
It’s been a terrible year of loss so just be who you want to be.
