Allegedly, these two kits from Airfix are skill level 1. The Eurofighter, yes I'd agree. Out of the box, easy assembly, painting ok, although the difference between the nose cone and the rest of the plane can hardly be seen. They are different colours, I promise. There is even a small decal on the side that totally disappeared as it's the same shade of grey as the paintwork. Nice mojo kit though.
The Jeep. Now, starter kit? Not so sure. Tiny parts, some have very dodgy alignment where I needed tweezers in one hand, glue in another and a clamp in my third 🫪 A complete newbie might be put off the hobby if this was his/her first attempt at building a plastic kit.
I enjoyed building both though.
For my next trick, I'll be building the Best of British set. Spitfire from WWII and the Red Arrows Hawk. The box says skill level 1 but the website says skill level 2. So, I'm calling this my level 1 1/2 set.
I'm working my way through my stash of kits for a while before getting back to the woodwork.
