“We fell in love. We actually changed the concept because we wanted to use this material.”

The Richmond journey continues.

Murudé and the Halstock team recently travelled to Ghirardi Stone near Verona to select the natural stone that will become some of the home’s defining features.

Seeing each block in person allows the team to understand its colour, movement and character, while also considering how the stone will work with the bespoke joinery it surrounds and conceals.

Bringing two very different materials together as one considered piece of design.

WE DID IT!

Three mountains, 23.5 miles on foot and just 24 hours to complete it.

After taking on Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon, the Halstock team crossed the finish line with just 12 minutes to spare.

More importantly, together we’ve raised an incredible £15,331.06 for Yeovil Opportunity Group and The Woodland Trust.

A huge thank you to everyone who has donated, supported the team and followed us along the way.

Last chance to donate! If you’d still like to support the team and help us push that total even higher, there’s still time.

“I’ve always been curious about how people live and how their environments affect them.”

In this first chapter, Murudé shares the vision for the project while working closely with the Halstock Design Development team to resolve the finer details before manufacture begins.

Follow the journey as Richmond evolves from design concept to completed home.

The journey Begins.

Over the coming months, we’ll be following the progress of this exceptional home as it develops from concept to completion, documenting the people, ideas and craftsmanship.

This first visit took the Halstock Design Development team to Murudé Studio in London, where the finer details of the design were explored, challenged and refined before moving into production.

It’s the start of an exciting collaboration, and we’re looking forward to sharing more of the story as the project unfolds.

Pushing creative boundaries and solving complex technical challenges.

For almost 20 years, Halstock Cabinet Makers and Katherine Pooley have worked together on bespoke residential projects across the UK, Europe and the Middle East, bringing ambitious ideas to life through close collaboration.

Katherine Pooley and Halstock Managing Director Simon Elliott reflect on what makes a great partnership work: trust, shared ambition, and the value of bringing designers and makers together from the very beginning.

Exceptional projects are never the work of one person or one company, they’re the result of people working together towards the same goal.

Three mountains in 24 hours for 2 incredible charities.

This September, ten members of the Halstock team will take on the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon in just 24 hours.

We’re taking on this challenge to raise £10,000 in support of two charities that mean a great deal to us:

The Woodland Trust works tirelessly to protect and restore the UK’s native woodlands, ensuring they can be enjoyed by generations to come.

Yeovil Opportunity Group provides specialist early-years support for children with additional needs and their families, offering guidance, education and care that can make a life-changing difference.

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our clients, colleagues, friends and supporters, we’ve already raised £6,000. Our next goal is to reach £10,000 before we set off on 19 September.

If you’re able to support us, we’d be hugely grateful. Every donation will help these two fantastic charities continue their vital work.
