Successful VV26 launch this early morning from the European Space Center in Kourou French Guiana with the BIOMASS satellite from ESA. Congratulations to all the teams involved Arianespace, Avio, ESA, CNES, Airbus, Harris, EPCU's teams. For those who come here it's a striking mix of High tech and primary rainforest. 40 Years Supporting Satellite Teams at the European Space Port in Kourou !

We have just celebrated 40 years of dedicated service to satellite teams at the Guiana Space Centre in Kourou. This milestone is a wonderful opportunity to pay tribute to all those who have shaped this incredible journey.

First and foremost, we extend our heartfelt thanks to the teams at Arianespace for their continued trust over the years, as well as to their clients from around the world, whom we have had the privilege to welcome and support during their missions in French Guiana.

We are also deeply grateful to our many suppliers, to whom we regularly refer requests, and to our friends within the local Guyanese community, with whom we have built strong and lasting relationships.

We do not forget the law enforcement, firefighters, and healthcare services — essential partners with whom we maintain close and vital collaboration for the smooth operation of our activities.

I would like to offer special thanks to the members of the Freelance team, who, over these four decades, have contributed with passion and professionalism to this adventure. Without them, none of this would have been possible. Thanks to their dedication, the many international teams who came to launch their satellites were able to fully experience their missions and appreciate the richness of French Guiana.

Under the guidance of CNES and ESA, we wish all launch operators — both newcomers and long-standing partners — continued success in their pursuit of the European space adventure, for the benefit and global recognition of French Guiana.

To the sound of the Hit « I will survive » both ESA, TAS Italy, Arianespace, Cnes and Avio teams enjoy their successful Vega C launch on the dance floor of the Ariatel Mercure.
A few hours ago all these teams were very focused on their desks and screens until Vega C delivered Sentinel 1C and at the end the satellite sent signals of its good health. Thank you all !

FLIGHT VV25: POSTPONEMENT OF THE LAUNCH

Due to a mechanical issue preventing the withdrawal of the mobile gantry, the launch chronology has been stopped.

The earliest targeted launch date is planned for tomorrow Thursday 5 December 2024, at 6:20 p.m. (local time in Kourou – 9:20 p.m. UTC, 10:20 p.m. CET).

The launcher and its passenger the Copernicus Sentinel-1C satellite are in stable and safe conditions.

There is a consistency in the ESA’s Copernicus missions in Kourou: Excellent atmosphere and cooperation. As we had it for Sentinel 2-C campaign, we have had a great time on Sentinel 1-C campaign with ESA team led by Ramon, Ana, Maria, TAS Italy team led by Paolo, Michele, Patrizio and Arianespace with Jean Christophe, Arnaud and Christophe.
Vega-C is on it’s pad, we wish Arianespace and Avio a great launch. FM

As the Arianespace VV25 campaign along with the Sentinel -1C satellite one have started at the European Spaceport in Kourou with ESA and TAS Italy teams, we are pleased to know that in the meantime, a very important milestone has been accomplished by the Avio teams in Italy a week ago (see pix below): Successful Vega C second stage motor test with improved nozzle design, fully qualified !

We have had a great time with ESA and ADS Germany in Kourou. We wish them, Avio and Arianespace a successful launch and long lives to these satellites.

Sentinel-2 The Copernicus Sentinel-2 mission is based on a constellation of two identical satellites in the same orbit. Each satellite carries an innovative wide swath high-resolution multispectral imager with 13 spectral bands for a new perspective of our land and vegetation.

Here we are ! Tomorrow is the big day, look how beautiful Ariane 6 is, proudly standing up on her pad.
It reminds me of the Ariane 4 and Ariane 5 maiden flights with 2 different endings that we all remember.
The excitement is the same. Go Ariane, Go! with all the cubesats and experience onboard.
