It's times like the Mid-Autumn Festival that really makes HK, all the colours, lights and atmosphere that makes this city a real joy to be in. I'm fortunate to have this city as part of my constant inspiration, and have it as the location of our Slack headquarters.

Recently, while in search of some visual inspiration on DuoTone designs for our SLACK loungers colour combos, I came across a few amazing Art Deco cars. These spectacles on wheels possess lines and shapes that were all the rage in the 30s and 40s. Something that I find mesmerising, and to me, they seem ageless, elegant, a sculpted piece of art on the road, and somehow, also reminds me of the futuristic comics I read as a kid. While the original bean bag lounger only appeared first to the world in 1968, us new world 'lounger' designers of today can certainly take a few lessons from these art deco marvels. 😁
