Where Beauty Meets Being Loved
The design explores the idea of love and belonging through a dialogue between African artistry and retro-futurism. Rounded columns, sculptural ceilings, high-gloss furniture and richly coloured carpeting create a playful yet sophisticated atmosphere. By balancing bold forms with warm, tactile elements, the space becomes more than an interior—it becomes an expression of being welcomed, being seen, and being loved.

Bringing Nature in Alchemist Cafe
Inspired by the lush outdoor greenery, the design brings nature into the dining experience, creating a seamless relationship between the restaurant and the outdoor park landscape.
Maximised daylight allows the space to feel open and connected to its surroundings. It brings together nature, daylight and community, creating a dining environment connected to its surroundings while offering a warm and familiar sense of belonging.

Reinterpreting a Hong Kong Classic
With over five decades of history, Golden Phoenix is a well-established Hong Kong steakhouse rooted in the city’s distinctive dining culture. For this new chapter, JAAK Design was invited to refresh the restaurant’s identity while preserving the character and familiarity that have made Golden Phoenix part of Hong Kong’s traditional culinary scene.
Rather than completely redefining the brand, the design takes a more considered approach—reinterpreting its existing identity through a contemporary lens. Inspiration from the nostalgic and glamorous character of 1980s Hong Kong. It introduces a subtle retro aesthetic that celebrates the restaurant’s history while giving the space a renewed sense of presence.

The heart of the home is an expansive, light-filled living and dining sanctuary that dissolves the boundaries between interior and exterior.
Framed by wide bifold doors opening onto a verdant balcony, the space embraces natural light and carefully selected materials to create a calm and timeless living environment.
A curvilinear bouclé sofa and ethereal washi paper pendants introduce softness and warmth, while the restrained palette of sand-toned walls and bespoke oak joinery reflects JAAK Design’s philosophy of understated luxury and refined craftsmanship.
