Twelve pieces make up The Curious Weight of Things.
The pieces came from noticing ordinary things and following that curiosity all the way through. A tassel, a monkey’s paw, an old board game.
Along the way, the team taught each other skills nobody in the room had done before. One piece needed a table leg carved with a curve nobody had ever cut, someone had to learn it, then teach it to everyone else on the workshop.
Nothing here is trying to disappear into a room. Every piece is trying to be noticed, then explained to whoever asks about it next.
