Introducing our recent collaboration with young & talented designers & students of . Made from natural bamboo, and produced by artisans in Tasikmalaya, the products emphasized on the characteristic & strength of each unique species/ kind of materials being chosen.
We use Gigantochloa apus (Bambu Tali), known by the pliability and softness of the material, beautifully twisted and intertwined for Sub desk lamp by James Sitinjak, and coiled into Chaesa lampshade by Azi Ilham Anshori. We also use Dendrocalamus asper (Bambu betung) the giant & strong bamboo which we laminated into Kaelaen stool by Arya Kusuma Ardana and Lenggang chair by Nur Rizki Padilah.
All these products, in collaboration with studiohiji, will be exclusively showcased and introduced on .tasikmalaya at PPIK Tasikmalaya on 12th to 14th December 2025.

We are announcing our recent works made of bamboo, designed by talented designers/ students of featuring Sub Lamp by James Sitinjak, Chaesa Lamp by Azi Ilham Anshori, Lenggang Chair by Nur Rizki Padilah and Kaelaen Stool by Arya Kusuma Ardana.
Each products able to showcase the pliability of the materials/ type of bamboo being used, such as Giganthlocoa apus (bambu tali) that are beautifully twisted and intertwined for Sub lamp, and also used with coiling technique that are applied for the Chaesa lamp. As for Dendrocalamus asper (bambu betung), are commonly knowned for its strength, being laminated as the base for Lenggang Chair & Kaelaen stool.
Catch these wonderful objects, proudly made in East Priangan, Tasikmalaya, West Java.

ในวงการอุตสาหกรรมเฟอร์นิเจอร์ ดีไซเนอร์หลายคนมักรู้กันดีว่า วัสดุไม้เนื้อแข็งจากประเทศสหรัฐอเมริกามีความแข็งแรง และมีเนื้อไม้หลากลวดลาย หลายโทนสีให้เลือกนำมาออกแบบ ซึ่งมาจากการที่ American Hardwood Export Council SEA (AHEC) ผู้ทำหน้าที่เป็นตัวแทนส่งออกไม้เนื้อแข็งอเมริกา ให้ความสำคัญกับการปลูกป่าไม้เนื้อแข็งอย่างยั่งยืน โดยดูแลจัดการป่าให้เจริญเติบโตได้ดีตามธรรมชาติของแต่ละสายพันธุ์ และในระบบนิเวศที่แตกต่างกันในแต่ละภูมิภาค
เป็นสาเหตุที่ดีไซเนอร์ชื่อดังหลายคนเลือกนำวัสดุไม้เนื้อแข็ง AHEC มาใช้ออกแบบเฟอร์นิเจอร์ เช่นเดียวกับ Abie Abdillah ดีไซเนอร์ชาวอินโดนีเซีย ผู้ก่อตั้งสตูดิโองานคราฟท์จากไม้อย่าง Studiohiji ที่นำไม้เนื้อแข็งอเมริกาผสานเข้ากับฝีมือช่างท้องถิ่น สร้างสรรค์เป็นผลงานคอลเล็กชันล่าสุด Clover Table ที่เพิ่งเปิดตัวไปในงานแสดงสินค้า FIND – Design Fair Asia ประเทศสิงคโปร์

A daily and universal object — the chair — has become the focus of a thought-provoking project that fuses anthropology and design.
Titled ‘Cross Cultural Chairs’, the project explores socio-cultural differences from the research of materials, environments and manufacturing processes of seats, aiming to understand how globalization is affecting design around the world. the research of Matteo Guarnaccia, alumnus of IED Barcelona’s product design course, reflects the evolution of our sitting habits as well as cultural changes.
